Community Involvement

bredon schoo volunteeringThroughout the school, the children enthusiastically undertake charity and voluntary work.

Charities are selected on an annual basis and in recent years the children have supported: Local fundraising efforts, through sponsored events such as a whole school walk in the Malvern Hills.

National fundraising events by paying a small amount to wear their home clothes to school, or by taking part in sponsored events, and international efforts by supporting and raising money for a school in Zimbabwe.

In 2011/2012, the school’s charity fundraising efforts topped £7,500 – a fantastic achievement – well done to everyone!

On May Day Bank Holiday every year, we open the school grounds to the local community to join us for our May Day fete, where there are a variety of stalls, fairground rides, attractions, craft stalls, food and drink, and demonstrations. Visitors are welcome to stay and picnic in the grounds.

We also offer local day nurseries, mother and toddler groups and local primary schools, the opportunity to join our younger children to enjoy the facilities that we have here at Bredon, such as the farm and the forest.
