From archery to vintage tractors, there's fun for all at Bredon School's May Fete

Bredon School is opening its grounds this Bank Holiday Monday for its annual May Day Fete & Country Fair.

Attractions to the Fete at the independent school close to Bushley, near Tewkesbury, include children's fairground rides; 4x4 off road driving; air cannon shooting; target golf; pony rides; a vintage tractor parade; quad bikes; a variety of stalls; afternoon teas and a pig roast.

The organiser of the event, Mr Doug Sharp, said “The Fete has become increasingly popular as a day out and with the forecast for dry weather; we’re hoping that this year’s event will be even more successful.”

The day kicks off with a clay shoot held as part of the Country Fair, which runs from 10am to 4pm. There are several prizes on offer, including juniors, ladies and veterans.

For people who wish to picnic, the grounds open at 11.30 and the stalls and attractions are open from mid-day. “Each year we try to include as wide a range of activities as we can, to cater for everyone, from the very young to the more mature.” added Mr Sharp, the School’s Admissions and Development Manager.

The entry fee is £2 per car and there is ample parking.
