| Bredon School praised for wide-ranging education and pastoral care |
|
An inspector from CReSTed, the Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils, visited Bredon School and described it as “one of only a small number of schools who successfully provide an appropriate and wide-ranging education for older pupils who find life in ordinary mainstream classes too difficult.” Mr David Keyte, the Principal of Bredon School, welcomed the report, “we are delighted that our accreditation has been renewed; and that our ability to provide excellent support for pupils with dyslexia in a mainstream environment has been acknowledged.” The inspector particularly commended the leadership, educational support and pastoral care at Bredon. The inspector said “A broad curriculum is offered to every pupil, beyond what would be expected in most schools, to take account of the interests and abilities of the pupils. The whole set up of the school is geared to meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of all of the pupils.” Bredon School is a co-educational, day and boarding school, for children aged between 7 and 18. It is situated in the picturesque Pull Court near Tewkesbury.
