Open Morning at Bredon School PDF Print E-mail

Thriving Bredon School welcomes parents and children to its Spring Term Open Morning this weekend.

Prospective pupils and their parents will be able to meet staff and chat to existing pupils during the event at the independent school near Tewkesbury on Saturday 6th February from 10am-noon. A number of demonstrations of school activities are also planned.

Many independent schools are struggling to recruit pupils, but Bredon’s pupil roll during the past year has remained around 240 – its highest level for at least a decade.

The school recently announced that John Hewitt, currently Deputy Head at Churcher’s College in Hampshire, will take over in September 2010 as Bredon’s eighth Head after Principal David Keyte retires this summer. Mr Keyte said: “It’s a cold time of year, but families can be assured of a warm welcome on Saturday! I look forward to meeting parents and talking over with them whether Bredon is the right school for their children."

Anyone intending to come along to the Open Morning is asked, if possible, to contact Mrs Sheila Denman at the school in advance on 01684 293156 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Founded in 1962, Bredon School is located in 84 acres of grounds based around the picturesque Victorian mansion of Pull Court, close to the village of Bushley.
