Lost 1-20

This was the first match played by a Bredon netball team in nearly 10 years.

Every member of the team put in their best effort, although sadly this was not reflected in the scoreline of 20-1 to Bournside. Kelly Davis, Alice Pollard and Lucy Mathews worked well in defence, stopping many chances and frequently regaining possession. Georgie Cubitt and Stacey Birks worked well together moving the ball up the court and created space for others to run into. Esther Bengele was fantastic during centre passes and worked well on the wing. Kate Butchart also made space well and marked tightly. Cristina San Juan Yague played well as shooter, although unluckily missed some shots due to good defending by Bournside. Alice Pollard scored Bredon's only goal of the game from quite a distance in the circle.

All of the girls played incredibly well and should be congratulated for their efforts - well done!
