Father of Head Boy sponsors School rugby shirts

Bredon School’s 1st XV will run out for the first match of the season in brand new kit, sponsored by the father of the outgoing Head Boy.

Patrick Kennedy, who is the Principal Partner of Worcester-based company Winners Estate Agents, has enjoyed a long association with the School; culminating with his son Robert’s appointment as Head Boy last year.

“Robert wanted to make a contribution to the School,” said Mr Kennedy. “As he was keen on sport we decided to give new rugby kit as, over the years, the School has chosen to invest primarily in the quality of the teaching staff, then in the fabric of the building. This is clearly borne out by the quality of the young people the School turns out.”

The Principal of Bredon School, David Keyte said: “We were delighted with the new kit. Robert was here for 11 years and was an excellent Head Boy. After such a long association it will be good to have a reminder of the Kennedy family. We are always appreciative of the generosity of parents as it also reflects their satisfaction with what we offer pupils,” he added.

The first match of the season will take place on 1st October against local rivals Hanley Castle High School. Bredon School is an independent day and boarding school for children aged between 7 and 18, at Bushley near Tewkesbury.
