All students have one compulsory practical PE lesson per week delivered by qualified, professional teachers. In PE they also learn about how to exercise safely and effectively to help to live a healthy, active lifestyle.

Outdoor Ed has long been part of the fabric at Bredon and brings together all aspects of learning outside of the classroom.
From the individual sports opportunities of canoeing, shooting and climbing, to overnight residential trips organised throughout the year for year groups 7-9.
These residential trips enable students to push themselves out of their comfort zone, to try new experiences, to put teamwork in to practice and to exercise both physically and mentally when faced with physical and problem solving challenges.
In recent months, trips have taken place to the Aztec Warren Adventure Centre, the Malvern Hills Outdoor Centre, Cranham woods and further afield.
At School too, the department regularly runs orienteering exercises around Bredon’s wonderful grounds and also offers Archery tuition.
There’s never a dull moment and the benefits it brings to the students is incredible. Read this blog, written by our Head of Outdoor Ed.
