Bredon School offers its congratulations to its students who have once again achieved some excellent results, both at A Level and BTEC where a 100% pass rate has been achieved.

100% of pupils achieved grades A*-C at A Level, with 63% of students gaining an A*-B grade. For BTECs (Level 3) the pass rate is also 100%.

Mr Koen Claeys, Headteacher at Bredon School says: “This is a very impressive set of results from a hard working and inspiring year group; I am delighted that so many of our pupils have achieved such excellent grades.”

There were some notable individual performances:

Tom Finn achieved A* in Photography A Level and A* in Art & Design A Level, together with a BTEC in Business.

Charlotte Fry was awarded a Distinction in her BTEC for Sport. She also achieved a B in Photography A Level as well as gaining a Business BTEC.

Bruce Yu achieved an A in Maths A Level and was awarded Merit in both his BTECs for Business and Applied Science.

Mr Claeys comments: “I am particularly pleased to see such a sharp increase in the number of pupils who achieved higher grades at A Level. This year, 63% of pupils achieved A*-B grades, which is an increase of nearly 20% compared to last year.

“I would like to thank all our teaching staff for their dedication in helping our students achieve the best results they can.”

“Bredon offers a very broad curriculum combining traditional academic and vocational study options. With the support of excellent and specialist teaching, we enable our pupils to make academic progress in ways that are best suited to their individual learning styles.”

Alongside the traditional academic subjects, Bredon School places a strong focus on practical and vocational learning and offers BTECs in Business Studies, ICT, Catering and Hospitality, Engineering, Health and Social Care, Animal Management and Land-Based Studies.

In addition to its A Level and BTEC provision, Bredon School also offers a CISCO Academy IT programme leading to apprenticeship employment. Students of the thriving CISCO Academy have done extremely well throughout the year, achieving excellent results and securing further education and useful work placements.

Mr Claeys concludes: “I am impressed with this cohort of Sixth Formers who have achieved such excellent results. Through their determination and hard work they are well equipped to progress onto the next stage of their educational or career journey. The whole Bredon School community wishes them every success in the future.”
