Pupils receive professional golf coaching

This term two small groups of students have been learning to play golf during their Sports lessons.

They have learned to drive, pitch and putt, as well as playing rounds of mini golf.

On Wednesday 20th June, students from Years 10 and 11 visited Sherdons Golf Club to experience playing at a golf club.

They played a small tournament on the putting green and fired off shots from the driving range using a variety of different clubs.

All the students enjoyed the lessons and their skills improved significantly as the sessions went on.

It was a pleasure to watch them play and enjoy what they were doing. The golf coach praised them saying that they were more keen and better behaved than all the other schools he had taught at the Club.

All the students expressed a huge thank you to Miss Lea for organising the lessons and have said that they really want to carry on playing golf in the future.
