Mathematics (Functional)

If you did not study GCSE Mathematics you will have the opportunity to continue with your Mathematics development using Functional Mathematics. This course very much follows Entry Level certification, building on confidence and using Mathematics as a life skill.

How is the course structured and graded?
The course is set into five units; each unit has its own exam, which can be taken throughout the academic year. These exams can be taken when the student is ready for the exam and are not restricted to an exam window. This allows students to focus on one set topic, complete the required exam and then proceed to the next unit.

Will this course be suitable for me?
This course continues the Maths development from Entry Level 3. It allows students to look and use Maths as a life skill. Successful completion of this course will allow students to continue study at Level 2.

What could this course lead to?
This course builds on using Mathematics as a Life Skill.
Completion of Level 1 will lead to Level 2.
