Physics
The course is a very well-respected A-Level which teaches all the fundamental areas of Physics. As well as being needed for many careers in Science and Engineering, the skills and knowledge developed expand options as a pathway for many different careers. There will be theory, problem solving, questions practicals and a large element of Mathematics.
How is the course structured and graded?
Year 12 AS Level:
Paper 1 and Paper 2 written exams: each 50% of AS Level
Year 13 A Level:
Paper 1 written exam: 34% of A Level
Paper 2: 34% of A Level
Paper 3 practical skills and data analysis plus written exam: 32% of A Level
Will this course be suitable for me?
The course teaches students to become independent learners, problem solvers and critical thinkers. You will need strong mathematical skills, real interest and be willing to put time in outside of lessons.
