The school day
The school day starts at 8:30am and day pupils are expected to arrive at school between 8 and 8:30am, with either tutor time or an assembly until 8:55am when the first lesson starts. All pupils have a mid-morning break from 10:40am - 11:00am, when they can have a drink and a snack - usually fruit and biscuits - in the dining hall.
The morning ends at 12:50pm when pupils have an hour for lunch and recreation time (which could either be play, free time or a club or organised activity). Whilst pupils can bring in a packed lunch, most prefer to have a hot lunch provided by the School catering team and eaten in the main dining hall.
From Monday to Thursday the school day ends at 4:30pm. On Friday, the day ends at 3:15pm.
Getting to school
The School operates a bus service with pick up and drop off points covering many towns and villages in the surrounding counties. Operated on our behalf by Avonside, a local transport firm, all drivers are DBS checked. Further information about transport.
After school activities
Because Bredon is home to many boarding pupils, there are a wide range of after school activities on offer every day. By prior arrangement, we offer ‘day boarding’ which enables day pupils to stay on after school, complete their prep/join an activity, and have supper. They can then be collected at 7pm. For costs, please see Fees.
