Values and Approach
"At his previous school (my son) was withdrawn, reluctant to go to school and used to cry everyday. Now he is a confident happy boy because of Bredon. The staff are amazing and have built his confidence up no end."
Bredon School provides an education that caters for all types of learners, treating and valuing them as individuals. We recognise that prior to joining us, many pupils may have had a negative school experience and therefore have low self-esteem as a result; we take pride in helping them to flourish and reach their potential by instilling a real passion for learning through our innovative teaching and nurturing pastoral support. In doing so, we help them to develop self-confidence and self-esteem in a safe, happy and supportive environment.
With 84 acres of beautiful school grounds, incorporating a working farm, numerous sports pitches and facilities, a canoe launch on the River Severn, allotments, climbing tower, bouldering wall and even our own clay shooting ground, our learning environments are both unique and inspirational.
Our pupils learn in well-equipped modern classrooms, and outdoors, they are able to experience lessons on our working farm or within our four acre Forest School.
We believe that learning differences should not be a barrier to success and we celebrate the many talents and skills our pupils have. We welcome pupils from the local area, the wider UK and from overseas and we encourage every pupil to participate fully in the academic and extra-curricular life of the School. As a result, our pupils develop as well-rounded, tolerant and responsible individuals, ready to meet the challenges of the wider world.
