You will create a portfolio of coursework plus a final exam project. Students are required to study different photographers and artists and make cultural links, to experiment with different techniques and to produce a personal final outcome. The coursework will be a bespoke project, inspired by your own interests, while the set task is chosen from the exam paper. You will learn about both the technical and creative aspects of photography.

How is the course structured and graded?

You will create two projects. The coursework project is worth 60% of your final mark. The set task is worth 40%. You will have a controlled assessment at the end of your coursework project plus a 10-hour exam in the Spring term of Year 11 in which to complete one outcome for your set task project.
