Clay Pigeon Shooting
Clay Pigeon Shooting has long been a part of Bredon School’s recreational and sporting life.
Shooting take place on the school’s own purpose-built shooting ground where students can try their hand during the regular afternoon activity sessions.
Bredon also has a number of Clay Shooting Teams who compete in the National Schools Challenge series. The teams – Prep, Senior and Girls – are operated by 3 lakes shooting .
We are very fortunate at Bredon to have a fantastic team of instructors. Our lead instructor is John Timmis - a former Police World Champion, multiple British Police and British Inter-Services Champion. Supporting John we have former World Champion, Carl Bloxham, who is a shooting instructor of international renown with over 40 years coaching experience and whose sage advice frequently graces the pages of many shooting magazines.
Bredon’s shooting teams have been enjoying increasing success in the various competitions that they have entered and have been crowned overall winners of The Schools Challenge competition in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
Bredon was named ‘School of the Year’ in 2013 by the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA); an award which recognised the school/college that has best encouraged and supported the participation of its students in clay pigeon shooting.
For those who are interested in other types of shooting, we also offer Air Rifle Shooting.
