Wainwright Lectures

A series of talks, the Wainwright Lectures form an integral part of the enrichment programme run for Sixth Form pupils.

Welcoming a variety of external speakers, some of whom are Old Bredonians or current parents each Tuesday, pupils gain insight into a wide range of subjects. Subjects include career choices, apprenticeships, working in the voluntary sector, challenging yourself  and many other topics besides.

Recent lectures have opened Sixth Form pupils’ eyes to the different pathways to careers in the Armed Forces and the emergency services, art and photography, Rowing the Atlantic, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)  to name but a few.

The Wainwright Lectures aim to broaden pupils’ understanding of the wider world and are an extremely important contribution to their ongoing preparation for life following their studies at Bredon School.
