Bredon School was a winner of the ISA Senior School Award for Academic Excellence and Innovation, in recognition of our unique and extensive work experience programme. Work experience is seen as a vital part of every students’ personal development and helps students understand the world of work, gain an insight into individual career areas and help develop confidence.
We offer students the opportunity to take part in mock interviews with invited guests from a wide range of industries in order to meet new people, experience new situations, and fine tune their interviews skills and techniques in a friendly yet realistic environment.
Students in Sixth Form taking vocational and Level 2 courses are offered the opportunity to spend one day or half-a-day a week in a work placement linked to their vocational area. This has lead to students being offered paid employment as well as developing vital personal skills needed to succeed in the workplace. This has been especially beneficial to students looking at an apprenticeship route when they leave Bredon.
With a wide variety of opportunities to develop as an individual, Bredon School’s Sixth Form is great preparation for the next stage in life.
