Dyslexia Is Not a Barrier
Dyslexia does not affect intelligence. But it does mean students need to be taught differently – and that’s where we shine.
We tailor our teaching to each student’s strengths, ensuring they feel understood, capable and ready to succeed. At Bredon, dyslexia is not something to overcome – it’s something to work with.
A Fresh Start with Real Progress
Many of our students arrive having struggled to keep up, despite trying their hardest. They may feel overlooked, anxious or disheartened.
We start by building self-belief. Our experienced staff take time to understand each child’s needs, rebuild confidence and create strategies that make learning feel achievable – and even enjoyable.
We focus on what each student can do and we use those strengths as the foundation for growth.
Personalised Support Through Student Passports
Every student at Bredon works with our SEN team to create a Student Passport – a personalised learning plan that includes:
- Their unique strengths and challenges
- Learning strategies that work best for them
- Tools and techniques to support independence
This approach puts students at the centre of their education – giving them ownership, clarity and confidence.
More Than Just Understanding
Dyslexia can affect more than reading and writing. It may influence memory, processing speed, organisation or self-esteem.
At Bredon, we understand the full picture. Our holistic approach offers the support and structure students need to feel capable in every area of school life – from the classroom to extracurricular and beyond.
We don’t just teach dyslexic students – we champion them.
