At Bredon School, we believe that good, nutritious food is an important part of a successful school day. Our professional catering team prepares breakfast, lunch and supper each day for our boarders, as well as a freshly cooked lunch for day students, offering a wide range of balanced, enjoyable meals.

Menus are varied and thoughtfully planned, with an emphasis on using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We also take great care to cater for individual dietary needs, with our team fully aware of each student’s requirements, so every student is properly supported throughout the day.

We are proud to hold a 5-star food hygiene rating, reflecting the high standards of cleanliness, safety and care maintained throughout our kitchen and dining service.

Something for Everyone

There’s plenty of choice at every mealtime, so students can always find something they enjoy. Options typically include:

  • Homemade soups served with freshly baked bread
  • A selection of hot and cold main dishes
  • Fresh vegetables and salads
  • Desserts and fresh fruit
  • Vegetarian and Vegan options
  • Jacket potato bar with toppings each day

We’re also able to accommodate a range of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, lactose-free and other individual needs.

Boarding Meals at Bredon

At Bredon, boarding students enjoy freshly prepared, home-style meals throughout the day, with breakfast, lunch and supper all served in the dining room. The menu changes regularly and offers plenty of choice, with a wide range of dishes available at each mealtime.

Meals are thoughtfully planned to be nourishing and balanced, giving students the energy they need for a full day at school. Our catering team takes pride in creating well-rounded menus that support healthy eating, while still offering food that feels familiar, comforting and enjoyable.

Whole School Events

At Bredon, we enjoy a lively social calendar throughout the year, with a range of events that bring the school community together. These include occasions such as Founder’s Day, Bonfire Night, Burns Night, Sixth Form Prom, and many more.

For each of these events, our talented catering team takes great care to design tailored menus that suit the occasion and atmosphere. Whether it’s a formal celebration or a more relaxed gathering, the food is thoughtfully prepared to complement the event and help bring everyone together.

Something to Look Forward To

Our catering team enjoys keeping things varied, with regular themed evenings for our boarders and special lunches for the whole school. Recent favourites have included:

  • BBQ lunches in the summer
  • Christmas dinner
  • Menus inspired by cuisines from around the world

These occasions are always popular, giving students the chance to try different cuisines and enjoy something a little different together.
