Senior School

Set in stunning rural Gloucestershire, our Senior School offers its pupils an inspirational, supportive and calm environment in which to flourish whilst fulfilling their academic and social potential.

Pupils benefit from four educational pathways, extensive facilities across our site, small class sizes with an average of 12 pupils and highly qualified staff trained to teach children of all abilities and those with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Whilst our broad curriculum is tailored to meet each pupil’s needs, allowing the high achievers to achieve whilst providing opportunities for pupils with gaps in their learning to meet their next objectives.

Beyond the classroom pupils are able develop skills for life through an extensive extra-curricular programme which includes sports, outdoor education, Duke of Edinburgh and CCF. Pupils may also take roles within the School Council enabling them to collectively assume responsibility for their fellow pupils whilst making positive changes to Bredon School.

We are the TES Boarding School of the Year 2025!

We’re thrilled to share that Bredon School has been named Boarding School of the Year 2025 at the prestigious TES Schools Awards!

This national recognition is a powerful testament to the heart and soul of our school – our dedicated boarding team, our exceptional teaching and support staff and our tireless facilities and catering teams. Every one of them plays a role in creating a nurturing and inclusive boarding environment for our students.

At Bredon, boarding is more than just a place to stay – it’s a place where young people with dyslexia are understood, empowered and supported to thrive. From the structure of daily routines to the beautifully refurbished boarding rooms designed with dyslexia in mind, every detail is centred around the student experience.

We’re so proud to see our warm, specialist and student-led approach recognised on a national stage.
