Mr Rory Vokes-Dudgeon

Rory Vokes-Dudgeon joins Bredon as Headmaster with significant experience across mainstream and specialist education.

A mainstream Mathematics teacher by training, Rory has spent the majority of his career in Special Educational Needs education. Following his PGCE at UCL Institute of Education, he began teaching in a secondary special needs school in North West London. He later joined Abingdon House School in London, completing his NPQH in 2022 before becoming Headteacher in 2023.

Rory has particular expertise in SEND mathematics, dyscalculia and maths anxiety, and contributes regularly to teacher training, including annual lectures for the King’s College London PGCE programme.

His leadership is characterised by a child-centred approach and a strong belief in personalised learning. Rory is passionate about creating educational environments that unlock the potential of young people who have not always thrived within mainstream education.

Having grown up in rural North Yorkshire and attended boarding school, Rory feels a strong connection with Bredon’s distinctive approach to education, particularly its emphasis on academic opportunity, outdoor education, pastoral care and developing confident, well-rounded young people.
