Sixth Form

Welcome to Bredon Sixth Form

Bredon Sixth Form is where students start to really shape their future. It’s a place to grow in confidence, explore new opportunities and figure out the path that works best for you, whether that’s university, an apprenticeship, or heading straight into work.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: every student is their own person, with different strengths, challenges and potential. That’s why we take the time to understand each young person, offering support that feels personal and helping them grow in confidence.

We have a strong understanding of dyslexia across the school, with specialist support built into everyday learning. Students are encouraged to work in ways that help them feel confident, independent and able to achieve their best.

Your Sixth Form, Your Way

No two students take the same path here.

At Bredon, we offer four educational pathways to ensure that every student can succeed – whatever their goals may be.

  • Academic Pathway: Traditional A Levels for students planning to attend university
  • Creative Pathway: Courses in Art, Design, Photography and more
  • Vocational Pathway: BTEC and City & Guilds qualifications with real-world value
  • Vocational Plus Pathway: Specialist programmes in Professional Cookery, Outdoor Education and Land-Based Studies, designed to build hands-on, career-ready skills

You can mix and match subjects across pathways, creating a programme that suits your specific interests.

For anyone needing to resit GCSE Maths or English, this can be seamlessly integrated into your timetable, ensuring you receive the support needed to successfully retake your exams.

Discover Your Future Pathways

Our experienced Careers team supports students throughout Sixth Form, helping them explore their options and prepare for whatever comes next, whether that’s university, apprenticeships or employment. Through tutor time and enrichment activities, students build confidence in writing applications, preparing for interviews and learning more about different career pathways. There are also regular opportunities to attend UCAS and careers fairs, giving our students a broader understanding of the opportunities available and helping them make informed decisions about their future.

ADMISSIONS

Bredon’s a school where you’ll find a really supportive vibe, especially if you learn in a way that’s a bit different. Because it’s smaller, you’re gonna get way more attention than at a big school, which can be a game-changer. Sixth Form Student
