Twenty students spent last week in the Brecon Beacons completing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition assessment. Challenging weather, including heavy rain, strong winds and rapidly changing conditions, tested the groups throughout the week, but they responded with determination, resilience and a positive attitude.
It was fantastic to see their confidence grow as they developed their navigation and campcraft skills. From following planned routes to pitching tents and preparing meals in difficult conditions, the students demonstrated excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
We are incredibly proud of all the students for the maturity, perseverance and resilience they showed throughout the expedition. Congratulations to everyone on a successful and rewarding four days.
