A Unique Approach to Boarding
What sets boarding at Bredon apart is our dedicated pastoral team. Unlike many schools, our boarding staff are not involved in teaching, creating a clear boundary between the classroom and the home environment. This ensures that after a busy school day, students can relax, reset and feel truly at home.
Our boarding staff are:
- Experienced in supporting students with dyslexia
- Actively involved in prep and coursework support
- In close communication with academic staff to ensure seamless care and progress
A Culture of Care and Community
The values that guide our boarding houses are simple and powerful:
Bullying has no place at Bredon. Clear rules and routines are shared from day one, creating a calm, structured and positive space where every student feels safe and respected.
Through positive role models, clear boundaries and a family-style ethos, boarding students develop responsibility, resilience and emotional maturity.
Life in the Boarding Houses
Boarding students can stay throughout the week and weekends or choose flexi-boarding options that suit family needs. Students go home for:
- Exeats (two long weekends each term)
- Half term breaks
- Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays
Bredon provides a comprehensive transport service, including transfers to major airports and train stations – making travel easy for UK and international families alike.
A Boarding Experience to Remember
Boarding at Bredon gives students the chance to:
- Live independently in a supportive setting
- Form deep friendships across age groups and backgrounds
- Take part in evening and weekend activities
- Build confidence, self-management and a strong sense of community
At Bredon, our boarding students are not just cared for – they are empowered to thrive.
