Professional Jockey | Star of the Amazon documentary A Racing Mind
After joining Bredon School in 2006, Lily quickly found a supportive environment where she grew in confidence and developed the skills to pursue her ambitions. She particularly enjoyed spending time on the school farm and taking part in the wide range of sporting activities, experiences that helped build her resilience, independence and determination.
Following her time at Bredon, Lily pursued her dream of becoming a professional jockey. Since then, she has enjoyed an impressive career, riding over 100 winners and competing at some of the country’s most prestigious race meetings, including the Cheltenham Festival. Alongside her racing career, she has also launched her own clothing brand and become involved in several media projects.
One of Lily’s proudest achievements has been contributing to the Amazon Prime documentary A Racing Mind, which explores neurodiversity within the racing industry. The documentary received a Silver Award and has helped raise awareness of an important topic within the sport.
Looking back on her time at Bredon, Lily credits the school with giving her the confidence, resilience and belief to follow her ambitions. The encouragement and support she received from staff helped lay the foundations for a career that continues to flourish, making her an inspiring role model for current and future Bredon students.
