Boarding Houses

A Family Feel | A Sense of Belonging

Every  boarding student who joins Bredon School becomes part of a warm, welcoming house community. We run two dedicated boarding houses: Tyndale House for students in Year 11 and below and Stable House for Sixth Form students.

Each house is led by a caring, experienced team who provide structure, support and a home-from-home environment where  boarding students can flourish socially, emotionally and academically.

Tyndale House

Boarding for Years 4 to 11: Located in Pull Court

Set within the stunning historic setting of Pull Court, Tyndale House accommodates both boys and girls from Year 4 to Year 11. The house is split into three landings, with rooms ranging from single bedrooms to shared dormitories, all with beautiful views of the grounds.

Led by Rob Starr, Director of Boarding, and his wife Nicola – along with their much-loved dog Ronnie – Tyndale House offers a true family atmosphere where friendship and confidence grow side by side.

  • A strong sense of structure and routine
  • High expectations balanced with warmth and humour
  • A focus on resilience, friendship and individual pace
  • Inclusive, co-educational environment

Boarding students are encouraged to aim high, support one another and take pride in their progress. With the right balance of guidance and independence, they thrive in every sense.

Stable House

Sixth Form Boarding: Independence with Support

Stable House is the dedicated home for our Sixth Form boarding students – a lively, welcoming space where older students gain more responsibility and freedom as they prepare for life after school.

The house features:

  • Three spacious common rooms for socialising and relaxing
  • Full kitchen facilities to support independent living
  • Laundry guidance and self-care responsibilities
  • Electronics allowed overnight (with parental consent)
  • Town leave privileges on Friday evenings (with approval)

Stable House strikes the perfect balance between home comforts and preparation for adulthood. Students are trusted to manage their time, contribute to their shared environment and take charge of their personal routines – with plenty of support when needed.

A Community Led by Care

Both houses are supported by a dedicated team of boarding professionals who ensure every student is safe, supported and encouraged. Together, they create an environment where every  boarding student can feel secure, confident and ready to embrace all that Bredon has to offer.
