Exam results success continues at Bredon School

Posted: 12th August 2021

Following the success of its A Level results earlier this week, Bredon School is pleased to announce another impressive set of examination results. In total 95% of this year’s GCSE subjects were at grade 9 – 4 (A* – C). Across BTEC Level 1 and 2 subjects, once again a 100% pass rate has been achieved.

As a dyslexia friendly school, Bredon School offers pupils the opportunity to study traditional GCSE courses alongside a large range of BTEC qualifications and Vocational courses. The School is particularly proud of its English iGCSE results which see 24 of 25 pupils obtaining grades 9 – 4 (A*-C).

This year’s subject strengths also include Geography, History, Photography and Art, with 100% of pupils awarded grades 9 – 4.

Of Bredon’s 100% BTEC pass rate, all of the School’s BTEC Level 2 Agriculture pupils were awarded a Distinction*. Throughout our Cisco IT courses, Bredon pupils achieved a 15/16 pass.

Mr Nick Oldham, Headmaster at Bredon School, said: “Congratulations to our Year 11 pupils on their fantastic results today. This year group has achieved so much both in and outside of the classroom during their time with us and today’s results are testament to the hard work, determination and commitment of both our pupils and staff.”

“The School’s focus has always been on every child achieving as an individual whatever that might be in terms of grades. So whilst I am delighted with our headline figures, the individual stories are always more important and there will be many pupils today who are thrilled with their results, having achieved their personal best. They show what fantastic progress our pupils can make after they join us through ambition, hard work, resilience and Bredon’s high standards of teaching.”

“Our pupils have been awarded the results that they truly deserve and we now look forward to guiding them as they move into their Sixth Form studies. I wish them all every success for this next phase of their educational journey.”
