Equestrian provision at Bredon School

Posted: 21st September 2021

New for this academic year, Bredon School has launched a partnership with The Elms Preparatory School in Colwall, to give all Bredon School Junior pupils a timetabled equestrian lesson each week.

The initiative, which is part of Bredon’s inclusive fee structure, sees Junior pupils travelling to The Elms every Thursday to take part in riding lessons and stable management, providing a truly authentic hands-on experience. Pupils will take part in both practical horse management lessons and actual riding lessons on a rotation basis to enable every child to benefit from this opportunity. They will also have the added option of obtaining Pony Club badges and BHS examinations as part of their continued development.

Bredon has a long-standing reputation for excellence in outdoor education, and country pursuits are real areas of strength for the School. For many years we have offered horse riding as a weekend and evening activity to our boarding pupils so we are delighted that this new partnership has strengthened our equestrian provision further.
