Inter-school clay pigeon shooting morning

Posted: 23rd September 2021

This week we welcomed The Elms Preparatory School in Colwall to Bredon for a morning of clay pigeon shooting within our school shooting ground.

After pupils and staff tucked into bacon rolls and hot chocolate, the lesson got underway, with expert tuition provided by our shooting coaches. The morning culminated in a short competition, with the highest five scores taken from visiting pupils and Bredon shooters.

Bredon has been named ‘School of the Year’ by the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA), in recognition of the Scholl’s work to encourage and support pupils’ participation in clay pigeon shooting.

A long standing part of Bredon’s sporting provision, clay pigeon shooting takes place within our purpose-built shooting range where pupils can experience shooting for the first time or develop their skills as a member of a number of Clay Shooting teams.

A big thank you to Bredon pupils Felix G, Rose G, Max L, Phoebe K and Kai P from Year 9, Head Girl Eloise and Head Boy Mitchell for their brilliant help on the day.

This is the first in a series of clay shoot events planned with The Elms. If your school would like to join us for a prep or senior school shoot please do get in touch.
