A Level and BTEC Results: Bredon School Students Celebrate Outstanding Achievements

Bredon School A Level and BTEC students are celebrating a set of fantastic examination

results today. Upholding Bredon's exemplary track record this year's cohort achieved a

100% pass rate in both A Level and BTEC courses.

Overall, 87% of all A Level students achieved grades A*-C whilst 29% of BTEC and Cambridge Technical Level 3 students were awarded a Distinction*.

Mr Nick Oldham, Headmaster at Bredon School said: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s results. Our Upper Sixth students have faced an extremely difficult period in their lives. They have tackled this with dedication and resolve and as a result have performed to their personal best, achieving individual outcomes to be incredibly proud of in their A Level and BTEC examinations. These outstanding results are a fitting testament to both the students’ hard work and the quality of teaching at Bredon School.”

These brilliant results reinforce the Department for Education's ranking for

students aged 16 to 18 years which placed Bredon School in the top 1% of 4434 schools in England for the second year in a row. The ranking is based on how much progress A Level students at Bredon made between the end of Key Stage 4 and the end of their A Level studies.

Mr Oldham continued: “As a school specialising in teaching children with dyslexia, we know how much progress every child can make with their academic and vocational studies after they join us. It has been humbling to watch these students not only work hard to achieve these results but to see them enjoying and contributing fully to school life despite the enormous disruption the pandemic has caused. Every student has shown commitment and progress in their overall development since joining Bredon and they should be very proud of their results today. The whole Bredon School community wishes them every success as they embark on the next stage of their lives, whether this is at University, College, in an apprenticeship scheme or starting out in the workplace. They leave us as well rounded young men and women equipped to face the world.”
