Sixth Form ‘pitch’ to local businesses

Posted: 30th November 2018

Bredon School’s Sixth Form Business students entered the business world this week to pitch their very own business networking event to businesses at the Tewkesbury Business Breakfast Club on Thursday 29 November. Businesses heard the students speak professionally and passionately about their Business Networking Event which is to take place at Bredon School on the evening of 18 January in aid of the charities Caring for Communities and People and Sam’s House. As well as pitching their networking event, the students were able to talk about the unique vocational curriculum at Bredon, as well as the School’s award winning work experience programme. They also focused upon the gifts of being either dyslexic and dyspraxic and how this has helped them. They also spoke about their wish to develop strong working relationships with the businesses who were present and made sure to point out they could be future employees! Mrs Thomas, Business Studies Teacher, said: “The students were incredible. They were professional throughout and their meticulous planning really paid off. Their presentation was exceptional and the audience was really blown away by them.” The event took place at the new Tewkesbury Growth Hub within the Council Offices in Tewkesbury. The students will now follow up with all those who attended the event to develop working relationships for the future.
