Bredon School CCF recently welcomed Lt Col Steven Little from the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers for our Biennial Inspection. With good weather throughout the day, cadets had the opportunity to showcase the very best of the contingent while continuing to develop valuable leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
The day began with a morning parade and inspection, where Lt Col Little spent time speaking with cadets about their experiences within the CCF. He later commented on the enthusiasm shown by the cadets and the pride they clearly have in both Bredon and the contingent.
Throughout the day, cadets took part in a range of activities led by CCF staff, including Morse code and semaphore challenges, laser capture the flag, air rifle shooting, stretcher runs and blindfolded teamwork exercises. These activities tested cadets’ problem-solving and leadership abilities.
The day concluded with the annual CCF NCO Dinner, where cadets and staff came together to celebrate leadership, service and personal growth within the contingent. It was a memorable occasion that perfectly reflected the spirit, commitment and camaraderie of the CCF at Bredon School.
